Columbus Rural Fire District #3
The Columbus Rural Fire District #3 encompasses the area surrounding the town of Columbus. The area covered is approximately 375 square miles. The District includes approximately 240,000 acres and 1800 homes. The Rurul Fire District was formed in 1989. The district protection area was expanded in 2003 to include the Yellowstone River Ranch area near exit 396 on I-90. In November of 2008 Columbus Ambulance Service consolidated with the fire district.
The district is managed by 5 elected board members. These members are elected to 3 year terms. The current board members are:

Board Meetings
The board usually meets the 2nd Monday of the Month at the Columbus Fire Station located at 944 E. Pike Ave. at 5:30 P.M. Meeting notices are posted here and at the Fire Station. The meetings are open to the public.
